    2005-07 GM L59 into a 2003 Suburban?

Hi all, The L59 in my 2003 Suburban is getting tired and before it completely gives up I'm planning to pick up a junkyard motor and refresh it. My L59 searches keep coming up with 05 and 06 motors, which I know have some internal updates from the earlier models, but I don't know if the sensors...

    Tahoe OBD2 "Not Communicating"

Makes sense. The check engine light came on, which prompted the use of the scanner. The oil pressure sensor issue was confirmed by the oil pressure gauge hanging out at zero (plenty of oil still in the motor). The brake switch issue is related to a fault in the transmission, which has been...

    Tahoe OBD2 "Not Communicating"

Kev was right.. it was the scanner. More specifically, the cable. I could twist it a certain way and get it to connect. A friend's scanner worked fine every time. Now I get to replace a brake switch and a oil pressure sensor. Hooray!

    Tahoe OBD2 "Not Communicating"

It's a cheap, Autel scanner. Works fine on my other car. I've had this problem before, but I thought it was because the battery was dead on the scanner. Changed the battery and it worked fine, but then a day later it didn't. Judging by the mess of wiring under the dash (lots of splices and butt...

Please fill out the following to ask a question. MAKE: Chevy MODEL: Tahoe LTZ YEAR: 2007 MILES: 115K ENGINE: 5.3L DESCRIBE ISSUE.... CEL lit up last night and plugged in my code reader. Code reader powers up but gets stuck at "Establishing Communication." Reader works fine on my other cars...

    2007 Tahoe Stabilitrak ABS Issue

FIXED! Finally went to pull the sensor off and look inside and found the mounting tab broken so that the sensor was still hanging on, but just barely. It must have got knocked back when I was banging around inside the axle. That's why they tell you to remove the sensor before pulling the axle...

    2007 Tahoe Stabilitrak ABS Issue

My local dealer has one in stock for $76! Only reason I'm excited is I don't have to special order and after Nick said $83 from his guy, I thought my dealer would be over $100.

    2007 Tahoe Stabilitrak ABS Issue

Also, reading through the Alldata guide again, it's possible in banging around the speed sensor ring that it hit the sensor and did something to it since the guide says to take it off before removing the shaft and everything inside. Hopefully it's okay and I'm not replacing that as well. And...

    2007 Tahoe Stabilitrak ABS Issue

I believe the tone ring (#44 in the diagram you posted) is still in there. From the end of the axle inward there was: the seal, bearing, this random plastic ring, then the "soft rubbery" piece that must be the tone wheel (Wheel Speed Sensor Ring Assembly). I finally found a picture of it here...

    2007 Tahoe Stabilitrak ABS Issue

This is the plastic piece that got broken and is currently not on the truck. Can anybody identify this? I don't see it in any of the diagrams. This is the old shaft. The clean space on the left is the bearing. The clean space on the right (with the horizontal lines through it) is from the...

    2007 Tahoe Stabilitrak ABS Issue

In between 43 and 44 there was a plastic, toothed ring. If I remember correctly, the teeth were facing inward (to the shaft). That is the piece that didn't go back in. I believe 44 is the "soft piece" that's still in there, but it was damaged (scratched) by the "grabber" end of the slide hammer.

    2007 Tahoe Stabilitrak ABS Issue

Thanks guys. I bought an OBDII to USB plug recently but haven't tried it out yet. Just need to find some good software for Mac (or finally get a copy of Windows XP for my old PC laptop)... I'll try that first and see what it comes back with. Hopefully have an update by mid-week, but more likely...

    2007 Tahoe Stabilitrak ABS Issue

Still trying to find a replacement piece, because if it's not too expensive, I don't want to put in the chewed up piece and risk having to take the axle shaft out a third time. All I'm finding is the reluctor ring, which is metal, and looks like it goes on the outside (maybe for the front?). In...

    2007 Tahoe Stabilitrak ABS Issue

This helped! I think.... There was a plastic ring with knobs on it that got caught on the slide hammer and chewed up... but then I forgot about it and it wasn't replaced (or put back). Now I need to dig through the trash... or see if I can buy a new one. Trying to find a picture of one to see...

    '07 Chevy Tahoe HVAC blower

Would these show up on my cheap OBDII scanner, or would I need the Tech2 to get to these?

    '07 Chevy Tahoe HVAC blower

That's an interesting theory since at one point the AC was set all the way down (60deg) and it looked like it was snowing out the vent until I turned it up.

    '07 Chevy Tahoe HVAC blower

Hey guys, Just to confirm and clarify what my dad said, the air flow slowly decreases over time (maybe after 20-40 minutes) until barely anything is coming out the vents. When the fan is cranked all the way up, it sounds like it's blowing right against a door. Instead of stopping and yanking the...

    2007 Tahoe Entertainment Module Parts

Yeah, mostly I want it fixed so it doesn't look crappy. This is something that will not be in use 99.5% of the time, so I don't even care if it really works. If I can't find a cheap used/broken unit I'll get the light cover and do something with the switch to hold it in place.

2007 Tahoe Power Liftgate Latch Issue

On to my next issue with this "new" truck. This model (LTZ) has the power liftgate on the back and the latch actuator seems to be having issues. When I close the hatch, either by the button or by hand, I can hear the latch motor working, then between a few seconds and 30 seconds later I hear a...
