Hi, does anyone have a hint as to how to repair this? These were working and quit suddenly. All running lights work. Turn signal flasher was replaced with no effect. Turn signal switch has been replaced. Thanks

    Hi Duesey,
I am pretty sure the running lights on your car use one element in the bulb, and the brake/turn signal uses another. I would first check the fuses, then the bulbs. Jim was kind enough to post a trouble shooting tree which should really help nail it down if its not something easy (such as a bulb or fuse)

If its anything like our 98 Escort, pay attention to see grounds and look for badly corroded lamp sockets. If the dash indicators still work, are they constantly on? If your fuses are blown, in for a deep search to find a wiring short.

Are you sue you changed the right flasher?....I just had a problem like this on a Ford F250 and the flasher was bad...changed it and they worked..but there were so many flashers under there it took awhile to figure out which one it was...Jim..................One indicator flasher is used for both the turn signal and the hazard flasher system

    REMOVAL
The indicator flasher is located on the LH side of the instrument panel, and is retained by one screw to the lower instrument panel reinforcement.

Tilt and slide the indicator flasher off the bracket.
Disconnect electrical connector and remove indicator flasher from vehicle.
Remove the bracket from the new indicator flasher.
    INSTALLATION

Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
