A pop is usually something broke. :ROFL
Any check engine or transmission lights on?
Take off cap lock.
All big letters are hard on my eyes like this.
WHAT TRUCK AND ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION AND MILEAGE?
GET A SCANNER ON IT AND CHECK FOR CODES AND CHECK OUT ALL DATA READINGS.
Pull transmission pan and see if any metal parts in pan.
Or Just
Find someone that is trained on that transmission and truck and  have the check it out.

OEM parts only hurt one time Crunch said that.
Cheap after market stuff will bite you many times. My brother in law is learning that the hard way.

Thanks for the reply
Truck is a 1999 isuzu npr,motor : 4HE1-TC,Trans: auto_ AISIN SEIKI Ser. #9C0756,Mileage 130 K
Transmission will not engage in drive or second,if you put in 1 st position truck will jump as it is supposed to do and pull off as it should, once it is going you can shift to drive and it works fine until you have to stop and then you have to shift back to 1 st position again to get it going again.  Truck will down shift from 3rd.  to 2nd when needed, and it will go in overdrive when it is supposed to .  no lights or indicators are showing.
Thanks for the help.

Get it on a transmission capable scanner and see what is up.
Post back any codes.

How about the transmission oil pan?
Any thing in the bottom of it?
