97 Isuzu Rodeo transmission dipstick location??
« on: December 10, 2006, 03:37:43 PM »
1997 Isuzu Rodeo Suv. My brother just bought this truck and I was trying to change the Auto Transmission fluid but I couldn't find the dipstick tube where I can refill the ATF fluid. Anyone knows the location I really appreciate any feedback,   Thanks   Joe

It doesn't have a dipstick..It has a fill plug down by the drain plug..you fill it like a rear differential....Jim

Pretty sure its the same, going by memory and on my daughters Trooper, get under it and on the transmission pan on the rear of the pan on the drivers side you will see 2 plugs, the upper one is the one you want to fill with the engine running.
People are like slinky's, not much use, but make me smile when I see one tumble down the stairs.
