plastic ball in gas tank
« on: July 09, 2007, 12:57:54 PM »
???Replacing the fuel pump on 96 s10 and while cleaning the tank I discovered a green plastic ball about an inch in diameter inside the tank.  Is this supposed to be in there?  It could only have been put there at the factory since Ive owned the truck since new.     thanks

What I think Cheef was referring to is that the ball might have come out of the rollover valve, and that you should check the rollover valve to make sure it still has a ball in it. If not replace it with a new one do not put the ball back in the tank. Goodluck!! Greasemonkey :)
