Has anyone used this tailpipe expander? Does it really work?

I actually have one of those...Yes it works if you don't need to expand it very much....Just put it in the pipe and turn the rod till it is tight in the pipe and hit it with a hammer...Jim

Yes, they work, but there are better ones out there.

I have 2 from Lisle that I like.

I have three of them back when they were made in the USA for different size ranges, work very well if you don't want to change the entire system.  Normally only work from the cat back, but since I am rich now, but not rich enough to pay someone to do it, just replace everything from the cat back.  So I haven't used them lately.  If the vehicle is kept in good tune so the cat doesn't fry, when it goes with that way overpriced front flexed exhaust pipe, so is the rest of the vehicle.  Time to get a different vehicle.  But did replace the cat and flex pipe a couple of times when I was sure I would get my use out of it.

If the pipe between the cat and the muffler has a resonator in it, most places guarantee those for life, so just have to buy that short tail pipe.  Also buy a muffler guaranteed for life and save my receipts.
