My service engine light has been on now for some time. I just heard about the key trick with these kind of vans but I'm not sure that I'm doing it right. When I turned the key three times I started counting the blinks the service engine light would blink, it would blink a few and go out and then blink a few more and go out and so on. I'm not quite sure what to do now in order to figure out what the code is. I don't know if I am suppose to add up what all they come to or what? Could someone please help me since I'm new at all this. Thanks in advance....

Hello,
You have an OBD II vehicle and would benefit greater from getting the exact code P-***X. If you do not own a scan tool the local auto parts store might pull the codes for free. Its a lot easier than counting the flash codes.

Hi, now see the light on these models only blinks codes prior to 96. If you have a digital odometer readout, the code will display there after on off on off on key sequence. If not canadian tire sells a code reader for next to nothing if you qualify yourself as a do it yourselfer. Gonna cost ya
